Finding Hope in Every Situation

I am the owner and operator of BlueTheory Counseling. Formally, I am

a doctor of health administration, I hold a license in Utah as a Clinical

Mental Health Counselor, and I am a National Certified Counselor.

I have successfully treated many different areas within mental health, but what is important to know is that I build my practice on connecting to people. Therapy in the wrong setting, or working with the wrong person, can feel scary and confusing. I continually work to build confidence by establishing communication from start to finish. This means that we talk about what the concerns are, how treatment will work, how to effectively use coping skills, and how to see success. As a therapist, it is my opinion that you should never go into therapy not knowing what the plan is or what tools are available to help. It is also my opinion that therapy is there to challenge you, but should never push you into something that you aren't ready for. If you are pushed too hard too fast, or pushed the wrong way, the situation could get worse.

In getting to know me personally, I am married and have two amazing kids, I love rock music, and I love muscle cars! Mustangs are the best! I also have other hobbies with drawing and being outdoors.

Your success is what matters, and finding a therapist you can trust is crucial! Therapy should always be about finding hope! Hope gives us motivation that things can get better.

  • Expertise in working on attachment issues having worked heavily in adoption and foster care

  • Expertise in family therapy and parenting approaches

Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching

  • Experience integrating confidence building into the practice of healthy goals. No shaming allowed to achieve success.

  • My approach is to outline healthy eating and exercise patterns while still enjoying what you love. If you're not having fun, it's not worth it.

  • Specific approaches are used to stabilize your core, strengthen support muscles, and apply full range of movement. This will give you the foundation to achieve bigger goals without getting injured.

  • Healthy goals have nothing to do with weight. They have everything to do with how good you feel, how strong you are, and the amazing feeling of confidence working through the process.
